Pyong An Sa Dan
Begin in Junbi (ready) stance. Look to the left. Fold both fists at the right hip, ball and socket fashion, with the left fist on top. Step back and to the left with the left foot. Turn 90 degrees to the left into a back stance while executing a double knife hand block (both hands are open with the left hand in a vertical chop position and right hand in a high block position). The arms form two parts of a square.
Look to the rear over the right shoulder. Fold both fists at the left hip, ball and socket fashion, with the right fist on top. Step and turn 180 degrees to the right with the right foot, while executing a double knife hand block (both hands are open with the right hand in a vertical chop position and left hand in a high block position).
Look to the left 90 degrees while folding for a cross-arm block at the chest (arms are crossed just below the wrists with the right hand closest to the body). Step 90 degrees to the left with the left foot and execute a low cross-arm block into a front stance.
Fold for a right hand reinforced outside block , both hands on left hip with fists knuckle-to-knuckle. Step forward with the right foot into a front stance and execute a right hand reinforced outside block.
Slide the left foot to the right foot as you fold for a left hand bottom fist. Execute a left hand bottom fist and a left foot side kick 90 degrees to the left (body doesn't turn, but left foot should land out to side and slightly rearward).
Reach out with open left hand as if grabbing the back of the opponent's head. Turn 90 degrees to the left into a front stance while executing a right forearm strike into the open left hand.
Fold both hands on the left hip, ball and socket position with the right hand on top.
Slide the left foot up to the right foot while turning the body 90 degrees to the right and folding for a right hand bottom fist. Execute a right hand bottom fist and a right foot side kick 90 degrees to the right (body doesn't turn, but right foot should land out to side and slightly rearward).
Reach out with open right hand as if grabbing the back of the opponent's head. Turn 90 degrees to the right into a front stance while executing a left forearm strike into the open right hand.
Look to the left. Lower the left hand parallel to your left leg with the palm facing 90 degress to the left and the right hand open and in a high block position (actually folding for a chop)..
Turn 90 degrees to the left in a front stance while raising the left hand into an open-hand high block and the right hand executing a chop to the neck of an opponent.
Execute a stepping front kick with the right leg, followed by a right hand lunging back fist (allowing left foot to step behind right foot into a cross-legged stance). KIAI.
Step back out with the left leg and turn 225 degrees to the left into a back stance while executing a two-handed, cross-arm collar grab (both palms facing you). Grab the opponent's shirt with both hands and execute a choke hold while shifting into a front stance (both hands will turn palms toward opponent and hands will uncross).
Pull the opponent toward you with the right hand while executing a stepping front kick with the right foot.
As the right foot lands in a back stance, execute a right hand jab to the head followed by a left hand reverse punch to the solar plexus into a front stance.
Step 90 degrees to the right with the right foot into a back stance while executing a two-handed, cross-arm collar grab (both palms facing you). Grab the opponent's shirt with both hands and execute a choke hold while shifting into a front stance (both hands will turn palms toward opponent and hands will uncross).
Pull the opponent toward you with the left hand while executing a stepping front kick with the left foot.
As the left foot lands in a back stance, execute a left hand jab to the head followed by a right hand reverse punch to the solar plexus into a front stance.
Fold for a left hand reinforced outside block by putting the fists knuckle to knuckle on the right hip. Step 45 degrees to the left with the left foot and into a back stance while executing a left hand reinforced outside block.
Fold for a right hand reinforced outside block by putting the fists knuckle to knuckle on the left hip. Step forward with the right foot and into a back stance while executing a right hand reinforced outside block.
Fold for a left hand reinforced outside block by putting the fists knuckle to knuckle on the right hip. Step forward with the left foot and into a back stance while executing a left hand reinforced outside block.
Reach forward with the left hand and grab the opponent's throat.
Shift into a front stance and grab the opponent's throat with the right hand also.
Bring the opponent's face down toward the right knee as you raise the right knee into the opponent's face. KIAI.
As the right foot lands, turn 180 degrees to the left and execute a left hand reinforced center chop into a back stance (now facing the same way as when you began the kata).
Step 45 degrees to the right with the right foot and execute a right hand reinforced center chop into a back stance.
Return to Junbi stance.
