Tallulah Gorge State Park - 07/25/09

This was our second trip to Tallulah Gorge in the past two weeks and this one was to do some mountain biking for the "Muddy Spokes Club". They call this is 4-mile ride...I think it's closer to 5. I failed to make a turn and took us down a treacherous trail down to one of the canyon overlooks...very, very rocky. Things were better on the real trail, but still not great...lots of up and down, plenty of rocks and roots, etc. I would agree with the "hard" rating they gave this ride, even though it's shorter than the others.

You will need to stop by the Visitor's Center before you ride because you can't go on this trail without a permit. They're free and you'll probably want to stop by and get a trail map anyway.
