Tallulah Gorge State Park - 07/15/09
This was our last "Canyon Climbers Club" park. I have been here several times and think it is beautiful. All you have to do is climb down to the suspension bridge that sways 80 feet above the gorge floor, but you might as well go all the way to the bottom, right? If you want to go all the way to the bottom, get a free permit at the Interpretive Center to hike down to the gorge floor. That's the only way you're allowed to go to the very bottom, which is not what I was told by someone who should have known. It was frustrating to go 99.5 percent of the way down and not be able to go the entire way. Fortunately. I had been all the way down before, so I didn't get too upset. Here are a few pictures from our trip.
